Dry needle
Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, which consists of inserting thin acupuncture needles into trigger points in muscles and soft tissues. The aim of this method is to release tension in the muscles, relieve pain and improve musculoskeletal function. Unlike traditional acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine and works with energy pathways, dry needling is based on a modern Western medical approach.
Using the dry needling technique we can address:
- Muscle pain and stiffness, especially in the neck, back and shoulders
- Local spasms and increased muscle tension
- Headaches associated with muscle tension (tension pain)
- Carpal tunnel syndrome and other upper extremity congestion
- Painful conditions after sports performance or injury
- Limited mobility caused by muscle imbalances
